Embry Riddle Aeronautical University's Daytona Beach Campus Lunabotics Team took the opportunity to share the love of space, engineering and technology through the educational outreach portion of the competition. Through visits to elementary schools and high schools, and through support of science fairs and robotics competitions, younger generations were introduced to space, engineering and robotics. The two-dimensional aether-superspace is constructed and the superfield techniques are applied to the study of dynamical generation of mass in the Lorentz-violating supersymmetric quantum electrodynamics in two dimensions of spacetime. It is shown that such model presents a dynamical generation of mass to the gauge aether-superfield and its dispersion relation has the structure similar of the CPT-even Lorentz-breaking models.

We study black hole solutions in general relativity coupled to a unit timelike vector field dubbed the "aether". To be causally isolated a black hole interior must trap matter fields as well as all aether and metric modes. We speculate that the universe may be filled with a continuum which may be called aether. Based on a spherical source and sink model of electric charges, we derive Coulomb's law of interactions between static electric charges in vacuum by methods of hydrodynamics. A reduced form of the Lorentz's force law of static electric charges is derived based on a definition of electric field.

We investigate new aspects related to the abelian gauge-Higgs model with the addition of the Carroll-Field-Jackiw term. We focus on one-loop quantum corrections to the photon and Higgs sectors due to spontaneous breaking of gauge symmetry and show that new finite and definite Lorentz-breaking terms are induced. Specifically in the gauge sector, a CPT-even aether term is induced. Besides, aspects of the one-loop renormalization of the background vector dependent terms are discussed.

In this paper, we describe the generation of the CPT-even, aether-like terms via the new CPT-even magnetic-like coupling. We carry out a study the loop corrections generated by this coupling. Previous investigations has been initiated on this issue and we have extended them to studying of higher-point functions, of quantum corrections to vertices of the interaction and to two-point function of the spinor field.
